Artist statement

Working with layers and textures from the urban environment, the work studies ignorance and its prevalence within society. Distorting the depth and scale within each layer creates an impersonal setting which challenges our views on how compassionate we really are. This idea of ignorance is challenged within the narratives, which are camouflaged within the very textures of our society in which we see everyday.
